Privacy policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026. Applies to Sequent, the timeline and Gantt chart add-on for Adobe Express, version 1.0.0 and later.

In short: Sequent never sends your tasks, files or settings to us. It has no account, no analytics, no tracking and no ads, and it makes no network requests of its own. What you enter is used to draw your timeline, and it goes only to Adobe Express: on the timeline in your design, and in the storage Adobe Express gives each add-on.

Who we are

Sequent is made by Omni, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) of Ryan Koning, Dennenweg 34, 9674 JW Winschoten, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 42088998, VAT number NL005486458B92. Omni is the controller for the personal data you send us (see "If you email us"). Questions about this policy: hello@askomni.app.

What Sequent does with what you enter

What is stored, and where

Sequent has no server of its own. It saves data only through Adobe Express:

WhatWhereHow long
The timeline's tasks (names, dates, groups, colours) and its settings (your options, date order and the timeline's width), so you can edit and update it laterIn your design, attached to that timeline. Adobe documents this "add-on data" as accessible only to the add-on that saved it, which keeps other add-ons out but does not limit it to you.Until the timeline is deleted (Undo can bring it back). "Update timeline" replaces it with a new timeline and new data.
Your date order, your options and a draft: the current text of the Tasks box, whether typed, pasted, read from a file, loaded with "Load example" or loaded from a timeline with "Edit this timeline"In the storage Adobe Express gives each add-on, per user. It comes back the next time you open Sequent, in any design.Replaced each time you make a change. Empty the Tasks box to clear the draft.
For plans too big to save in the design (more than about 3 KB): the timeline's full data. The design then holds only its settings, the number of tasks and a reference made of the time it was saved plus random characters. In the same add-on storage. Sequent tells you when this happens.Sequent never deletes these entries. Each Insert or Update of such a plan saves a new copy, and older copies stay, even after the timeline is updated or deleted. Version 1.0.0 has no button to clear them.

The data saved on a timeline is the task list it was made from, so it can hold more than the drawn timeline shows: each name in full where the chart shortens it, group names when you colour per task, and the original text of anything you later change by hand in the design. Anyone who can see your design can see the timeline itself. Someone who can also edit your design with Sequent may be able to load this saved data with "Edit this timeline", which also saves it as their draft: Sequent does not check who made a timeline.

Adobe describes its add-on storage as "local-persisted storage per user per addon". Where Adobe keeps that storage and your designs, and for how long, is up to Adobe. Sequent never sends any of it to us.

What Sequent reads

What Sequent does not do

Adobe

Sequent runs inside Adobe Express. Your Adobe account and your designs are handled by Adobe under the Adobe Privacy Policy, and the add-on storage described above is provided by Adobe Express.

If you email us

If you write to hello@askomni.app, we receive your email address and whatever you put in your message, such as screenshots. Two email services handle these messages for us: Cloudflare Email Routing receives mail for askomni.app and forwards it, and Google (Gmail) stores our mailbox. Google may process your email outside the EU; that transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We use your email only to answer you and to fix what you report, based on our legitimate interest in helping you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete it 12 months after your question has been dealt with. We do not sell or rent your data, and we never use it for marketing.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, including a copy, and ask us to correct, delete or restrict it. Email hello@askomni.app; we answer within one month. Sequent itself never sends us anything, so the only personal data we get through Sequent is what you choose to send us, such as an email.

Right to object. We use your email on the basis of our legitimate interest. You can object to this at any time by emailing hello@askomni.app. We will then stop using it, unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or need it for a legal claim.

We do not hold the data in your designs or in Adobe Express's add-on storage: Sequent saves it only through Adobe Express and never sends it to us. Deleting a timeline deletes the data saved on it in your design, and emptying the Tasks box clears the saved draft. Sequent 1.0.0 does not delete your saved date order and options, or the full data of plans that were too big for the design, and it has no button to clear them (see the table above).

You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or to the data protection authority in your country.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Sequent changes how it handles data, this page will be updated before that version is published, with a new date and a note below.
