Privacy policy
In short: the add-on has no server of its own and makes no network requests. Your staff list goes into the chart in your design and into the storage Adobe Express gives the add-on; photos are never stored at all. Nothing reaches us, and there is no account, no analytics and no tracking.
Who we are
Org Chart from CSV (the "add-on") is made by Omni, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) of Ryan Koning, Dennenweg 34, 9674 JW Winschoten, the Netherlands ("we", "us"). Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 42088998, VAT number NL005486458B92. Omni is the controller for the personal data you send us yourself (see "If you email us"). Questions about this policy: hello@askomni.app.
What the add-on does with what you enter
- You type or paste rows into the People box, or choose a file with "Upload CSV". The add-on reads the file inside the panel and puts its text in the People box. It does not send the file anywhere and does not store its name.
- From each row it takes a name, and optionally a job title, a manager, a department and a photo file name. It resolves the managers into a hierarchy and lists the problems it finds, with a suggested fix for each.
- With "Add photos" you pick image files from your device. The panel reads each one, crops it square and shrinks it, and hands the result to Adobe Express when you insert the chart. No photo is uploaded anywhere, and none is kept: they live in the panel's memory until they are part of your chart, and they are gone when the panel closes.
- When you click "Insert org chart", it draws the chart in your design as ordinary shapes and text. The names, job titles, departments and photos in it become part of your design, like anything else you add to it.
What is stored, and where
The add-on has no server of its own. It saves data only through Adobe Express:
| What | Where | How long |
|---|---|---|
| A draft: the current text of the People box, whether typed, pasted, read from a file or loaded with "Load example". Plus your chart options and whether you picked a layout yourself. | In the storage Adobe Express gives each add-on, per user. Adobe describes it as "local-persisted storage per user per addon". It comes back the next time you open the add-on, in any design. | Replaced each time you make a change. Empty the People box to clear the draft. |
| The chart itself: the names, job titles, departments, photos and colours that are drawn in it. | In your design, as ordinary Adobe Express shapes and text. This version saves no hidden add-on data on the chart. | For as long as the chart is in your design. Anyone who can see the design can read the chart, as they can read anything else on the page. |
| Photos you added. | Nowhere, until they are in your chart. The panel holds them in memory while it works and does not write them to storage. | Until you close the panel, or until they are part of the design. |
Where Adobe keeps that add-on storage and your designs, and for how long, is up to Adobe. The add-on never sends any of it to us.
What the add-on reads
- From Adobe Express: the interface theme, so the panel matches it, including when you change it; and, through Adobe's fonts API, the font it draws the labels with. Neither is stored.
- From your design: the size of the page or artboard you are inserting into, and its background colour, to scale the chart and pick light or dark text. It reads no other content of your design.
- From your device: the image files you choose with "Add photos", and nothing else.
When the list is about other people
A staff list is usually personal data about your colleagues, and you decide what happens to it. You are the controller for it; the add-on is a tool you run inside Adobe Express, and it gives us no access to what you enter. Only put in what you are allowed to put in, and remember that a chart in a design is readable by everyone you share that design with.
What the add-on does not do
- It has no account or sign-in, and it does not read your Adobe identity, user ID or plan.
- It makes no network requests of its own. Apart from its own files, the only thing it loads is Adobe's add-on SDK, from Adobe (
new.express.adobe.com). - It contains no analytics, telemetry, tracking, advertising, error reporting or AI services.
- It asks for no extra permissions: no clipboard, camera, microphone or pop-ups. Pasting is your browser's normal paste into the People box.
- It sets no cookies and uses no browser storage of its own.
Adobe
The add-on runs inside Adobe Express. Your Adobe account and your designs are handled by Adobe under the Adobe Privacy Policy, and the add-on storage described above is provided by Adobe Express.
Keeping and deleting data
- The draft and your options. Empty the People box to clear the draft. The options are replaced as you change them.
- The chart. It is ordinary shapes and text in your design: delete it like anything else, and Undo brings it back as it would anything else.
- Photos. Nothing to delete outside your design, because nothing was stored.
- On our side. There is nothing to delete: the add-on never sends us anything.
If you email us
If you write to hello@askomni.app, we receive your email address and whatever you put in your message, such as screenshots or a few rows of your list. Please leave out anything you would rather not send, and replace real names with made-up ones where you can. We use what you send only to answer you and to fix what you report, on the basis of our legitimate interest in helping you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), and we delete it 12 months after your question has been dealt with. We do not sell or rent it, and we never use it for marketing.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, including a copy, and ask us to correct, delete or restrict it, or object to our use of it. Email hello@askomni.app; we answer within one month. The add-on itself never sends us anything, so the only personal data we get through it is what you choose to send us. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or to the authority in your own country.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the add-on changes how it handles data, this page will be updated before that version is published, with a new date and a note below.
- 20 October 2026: first version.
